In 2018, with the MIT Community Innovators Lab, we brought together local leaders and small business owners in Santa Ana to figure out how to make the neighborhood better for everyone. Trust was the most important thing we built. By the end of 2019, 110 community leaders had finished the program and begun organizing their own committees for waste management and sanitation.
